It’s been a while since we have had a family portrait session, especially one in our apartment in New York City. I am not one for “studio portraits” because I like the more casual nature of outdoor or on-location photos. I am so glad that I was introduced to Jane Goodrich Photography, who graciously offered us a complimentary family portrait session this past winter. {And you’ll have an opportunity to win a family portrait session with her, too!}
Jane was of course professional, but more important, she was FANTASTIC with the girls. In fact, she got along so well them that I kinda wanted to ask her if she could babysit them. Seriously.
As you can see from the pictures I took of her taking pictures of the girls, she did anything to get a good shot, including wearing a stuffed dog on her head and laying down on Fulton Street to get a fantastic shot of our family with the Freedom Tower in the background, which you’ll see down below.
As you can see from the end results below, the pictures came out AMAZING. Jane was able to get emotional, spontaneous indoor shots…
…but, I think Jane’s outdoor shots are the best. She was able to capture what we absolutely love about downtown New York City — from the smoke coming out of a manhole to sisterly love at an outdoor garden to capturing the Freedom Tower as we stand in the middle of busy Fulton Street. (Jane was laying on the street to get the shot!)
