I’ve been reading one of my favorite childhood books, Anne of Green Gables, by L.M. Montgomery, and one of my favorite quotes from the book is, “I’m so glad that I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Between the apple & pumpkin picking, shopping for Halloween costumes and baking my favorite pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, October can’t get any better. But it can.
J.Jill has launched its Pure Jill Collection this fall and it is perfect for falling temperatures. I fell in love with the boucle textures in their Pure Jill Plush Collection. The Plush Cardigan is versatile: you can wear it open, or closed; I chose to wear it like a coat and belted it up. The cardigan was just the right topper for a sunny, crisp fall day where we spent walking in Central Park with the family.

I paired it with the must-have accessory of the fall season: the infinity scarf. Pure Jill has it in the boucle yarn, but I chose it in the 100% crinkle cotton for a different texture.
I layered it all with my favorite denim shirt and my new waxed skinny jeans and topped it off with my Nike Hi Dunk Wedge Sneakers (for pounding the pavement and climbing all the rocks in Central Park!).
That’s what October is all about: Layering. Textures. Soft Fabrics.
Although J.Jill is known for its uncomplicated clothes that’s easy and comfortable, they also have a perfect accessories collection that compliments its styles.
I personally love accessories that I can wear every day, that have simple, understated styling. This goldtone cuff with Tigers Eye, a semi-precious stone, caught my eye for its refined and unique styling. I love that it compliments my evil eye (that I every day.
With the weather dropping, tell me what you’ll be wearing this fall?
