Although we live in the urban jungle known as New York City, my husband and I make it a point to always be out and about with our girls—whether it be rain, shine or snow. Being together and being active helps everyone because everyone is happy, not stressed, and you’re all making memories and creating tight family bonds.
A daily morning hike in Arizona was a fun bonding moment for all of us. We would look and listen for birds, small animals and look at the beautiful desert flowers we don’t get to see in New York City.
Even when we travel, our vacations are action packed. From finding the nearest hiking trail to walking through a museum, every day can be made into an adventure.
For many families, the easiest thing to do is going to your nearest playground and run around, climb on the jungle gym, or swing on the swings.
In the city, we do a lot of walking around together, but sometimes we need to get somewhere fast, and scooting to school, the playground or to a restaurant helps us get there faster and puts in a some exercise time, too! The family that plays together, stays together is our motto.
