Sooner or later, it will be summer (rain, rain go away!) and we will all be going away in some version or another. Going on vacation with tots-in-tow could test your logistical preparation skills. From the toys, to the snacks, to the DVD player and the DVD’s to go along with it, to the band-aids and the kids ibuprofen, you’ve already got a lot on your mind so thank goodness for the companies that can provide all of the other things that you may forget or are just too big to carry such as a high chair, pack and play, baby bathtub or toddler bed.
Recently, we went to Florida and stayed at a friend’s house. We needed a place for S, our 3 year old, to sleep and I had decided that renting a toddler bed would be the best option. I Googled “toddler bed rental St. Petersburg FL” and VOILA! A Sponge Bob Square Pants toddler bed – was available for to rent from Tampa Bay Baby Rentals which has an extensive collection of up-to-date cribs, beds and other extras in stock. The toddler bed rented for $60 for the week and came with a mattress, mattress cover, flat sheet, blanket and pillow cover. Tampa Bay Baby Rentals dropped off the bed at our friend’s house the day before we arrived and picked it up as we were leaving. There was absolutely no hassle and S just LOVED her Sponge Bob Square Pants toddler bed.
We also rent down the Jersey Shore, so when we go, we call upon Coastal Baby Rentals. We’ve rented from Coastal Baby Rentals for two summers in a row, and this year will be a third. In the past, we’ve rented a pack and play (which came with sheets and a blanket) and a high chair. The first year, Stephanie, the owner and a mom as well, not only hand delivered the pack and play for us, but even put it together! Talk about no hassle!
So, even though you have a ton of stuff to bring, remember, you can always lighten the load by doing a little rental research. You could even buy diapers, formula, baby foodand snacks either online or ahead of time and have them shipped to your hotel or house rental. May be a bit more expensive, but hey, you’re going on vacation – you might as well relax a little bit!
