Transition Tuesday: Vice President at Goldman Sachs to Marketing Consultant and Blogger

Netta is truly a super mom. She and I have known each other since her son and our youngest daughter were in Kindergarten. Truth be told, Zachary actually had a “Kindergarten crush” on Sydney ???? I knew she had a high-powered corporate job and I knew she was extremely busy not just at Goldman Sachs where she was VP of Marketing, but also as a mom of three children. Her…

Transition Tuesday: Marketing to Occupational Therapy

As you may or may not know, for the past two years, I have been making a career transition from marketing to occupational therapy. It’s taking a bit of time because in order to even apply to graduate school for occupational therapy, I had to take and complete six science and psychology pre-requisite courses. Although long, it’s gone pretty quickly — I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since I…

Doing Laundry in Cold Water with Tide Coldwater

Since we moved into our own apartment with our own washer/dryer four years ago, I’ve always used cold water to launder our clothes. Washing in cold water saves energy, maintains our clothes colors and prevents shrinking! At a recent Momtrends event, Nicole Feliciano introduced an exclusive group of influencers to Tide Coldwater. Tide has a goal to convert 70% of all wash loads worldwide to cold by 2020. Won’t you…

Make sure to scroll down for the discount code for High School 411, a service that helps NYC parents navigate the public high school…

My New Life as a Working Mom, Wife and Student

Since I started this new journey of going back to school, my days and weeks have been so different and fractured, but I try to keep somewhat of a schedule for my sanity and my family’s. I start out my week still working as Chief Kidfresh Mom, doing their marketing at Kidfresh HQ here in New York City, still wanting to keep the social media/marketing so-called pilot light on while…

Changes: My Road Back to School

I initially started this blog back in 2009, when I took a social media class when I was a candidate for a Master’s of Science in Integrated Marketing at New York University. It was one of our social media projects and loved how engaging and “new” this whole blogging business was. My blog was originally called “Diaper District” because at the time, I was a mom of two very young kids…

World Elephant Day

Did you know that World Elephant Day is August 12?  The Wildlife Conservation Society’s 96 Elephants campaign focuses on  protecting forest elephants from extinction, through awareness and legislation. More than 35,000 elephants are killed by poachers each year for their ivory and the goal of 96 Elephants is to stop the killing, demand and trafficking of elephant ivory.  Last weekend, President Obama announced his administration’s proposal to ban ivory sales in the United States….
