How to Wear White in the Fall

Wearing white post-Labor Day has not been as controversial as it has been when I was growing up where the rule was pretty much tough.  Wear white after Memorial Day. Don’t wear white after Labor Day. Now that the weather is pretty unpredictable, I’m thinking anything goes, especially with fashion. Here’s my take on how to wear white in the fall. I’m a denim girl all the way. I love my boyfriend jeans, my skinny jeans, my ripped jeans. So, instead of wearing white jeans, I opted to wear this textured white Zara jacket from last Spring. The cut is super relevant and modern with sharp shoulders and a modified nehru collar. It’s a slim-fitting jacket, which I like to wear unbuttoned.

I paired it with a LABEL+thread white tank  and this Rafiki Friend Chain from Me to We Artisans, where each piece is handmade by a mom in Kenya using traditional artforms. Me to We pays the mom so that she can build savings to improve her home, buy food and medicine for her family. It’s made with glass and stretch cord so it’s a versatile piece too. You can layer it up and make a necklace long or short, or wrap it around your wrist or ankle.

My accessories is this vintage clutch that I purchased in Tucson, Arizona. They have the best vintage purses ever!  I don’t own many pumps, but these Miu Miu pumps are absolutely a great buy. I purchased it at a sample sale and it’s just the right amount of heel to give me a bit of height but still be comfortable.
