Fall Fashion: What to Wear on a Date Night or Girls Night Out

What to wear on a date night or a girls night out? For me, that usually calls for a chic but comfortable look. As you can tell from my fashion posts, I tend to go towards trendy but comfy. I can’t be out there feeling all self-conscious and wondering if I look good. I have go-to brands and silhouettes that I know look good on me with some statement accessories. I work with LABEL+thread (I am their community director) so I wear their styles all the time. The look good, feel good and I love their modern silhouettes. Here, I paired up two of their tanks together, to create a layered, casual look.

The easy pants are from Urban Outfitters, made out of army green cotton that is so comfortable. I wear them with heels, my Birkenstocks and flip-flops. uber-versatile.

The leather clutch is from my corporate days at Liz Claiborne (yes! it’s Liz Claiborne, when Isaac Mizrahi was the creative director). It’s a fun clutch that I use for those nights out.

I topped it off with this sample sale find of a necklace! I bought it over 10 years ago and I have no idea who makes it, but I simply love it. I love it for its pop of color.

I normally don’t wear heels this high — ever. But on a date night, where I know I’m taking a TAXI, I sport these heels. They’re not the most comfortable (as I take back my words as a chic and comfy fashion blogger), but sometimes you just have to take one for the fashion team. Now, can someone hail a taxi, please?

What are your go-to date night or GNO looks?
