Spring Brights with Chaps – Available at Kohl’s {Sponsored}

For most New Yorkers, including me, our closets are filled with blacks, greys, browns, whites and every shade of neutral in between. But there comes a time when you just have to break away from the earth-tone pack, shake out the winter grey doldrums and perk up with some spring brights.

Luckily, Chaps’ spring collection is full of colors that will help brighten up your wardrobe.

My picks for the season? Colored Denim. Chaps’ spring collection has a great fitting and slimming  capri length colored denim that comes in the perfect sorbet hues. There is a good amount of stretch which makes it super comfortable.

I paired it with Chaps’ non-iron fitted shirt in a blue mini-gingham. I love non-iron and I also love classic gingham. This shirt can go anywhere and go with anything (skinny jeans, white jeans, a pair of cute shorts) and you will look crisp and polished.

If bright-on-bright doesn’t work for you, pair the colored denim with a neutral (I chose white) like one of Chaps lightweight fine gauge colored cardigans that comes in 100% soft cotton. What I like about this cardigan is that it can be completely worn by itself, or worn with a tank or cap sleeve top underneath.

When wearing brights, I like to wear neutral accessories. A pair of tan ballet flats and even a metallic cross body (also from Chaps) looks great with brights. This cross body may look tiny, but it has a ton of storage and pockets – perfect for a busy mom on the go!

I’ve written about Chaps many times before because I truly love their affordable collection. I know that I can look stylish and comfortable without breaking the bank.  And not only is Chaps perfect for you, but also perfect for Mother’s Day gifts!
