Earlier this week, I talked about the three ways I’m getting my pre-baby body back through a new exercise, diet and beauty regimen, which I had kept under wraps. So here’s the unveiling: I’ll be giving my facial muscles a workout.
Did you know:
- That after the age of 30, facial muscles naturally atrophy (that means it wastes away) which leads to lines and wrinkles?
- Unlike the rest of your body where muscles are attached to bone, your facial muscles are connected to your skin?
So why should I care?
- So when your facial muscles start to waste away (ugh!), they can no longer support the skin – causing your face to sag and lose volume. – making you look older.
According to the BMR Beauty website (BMR stands for bio-medical research), the BMR Facial Toner, which is FDA-cleared, uses Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology to create strong, deep muscle contractions to tone the facial muscles. EMS technology has been used for over 40 years in hospitals, clinics and physiotherapy practices around the world to strengthen and rehabilitate muscles.
I’ll be giving my face a workout with the BMR Facial Toner 20 minutes a day for five days a week for the next twelve weeks. It’ll be a good excuse to kick-back for a few minutes while my face gets some exercise.
In about six weeks, I’ll update you how its going – with pictures – and of course the final reveal in three months. By that time, it’ll be the 3 1/2 months before my Big 4-0 and hopefully all my hard work will turn back the clock by 20 years. *Talk about pressure!*
