Just in from the NYTimes, an extremely easy way to donate $10 to the Red Cross – using your cell phone. Text Haiti to the number 90999 and $10 will be donated to the American Red Cross. The cost will be added to your phone bill.

The company that handles the texted donations, mGive, is waiving all the technological, software and licensing fees that they usually charge for each donation. $1.2 million dollars have been raised so far, especially with the message being shouted across Facebook and Twitter.
