It’s sweater time! Falling leaves and crisp, cool weather is a signal to start stocking up on great versatile sweaters, that don’t cost an arm and a leg. As you know, I am a big fan of Chaps on Kohls.com. Chaps provides amazing style, with great value. For our family trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I was able to choose two sweaters and one top from the Chaps Holiday sweater collection. Here what I picked for our weekend trip to Philly.
The Chaps Cable Knit Cardigan. I love a good cardigan, especially when there’s a ton of style, great attention to details – all for $48! This cotton blend cardigan has textured buttons, a shawl collar (perfect neckline for any layering piece) and my favorite — faux-suede elbow patches which adds a bit of collegiate charm to the style.
I wore it with a pair of dark skinny jeans and my favorite brown leather boots. Under the sweater, I wore the Chaps Lace Henley ($28) which is 100% cotton, with lace pin-tucking details and a hint of holiday plaid at the placket.
The Chaps V-neck Cable Knit Sweater. I was so inspired by the below image from the Chaps advertising campaign that I decided to NOT pack away my white jeans from summer. Who knew you could wear white in the fall and winter time period?! You can wear them year ’round!
And nothing says “Holiday” more than a sweater with some sparkle. The Chaps V-Neck Cable Knit Sweater ($35) has gold Lurex in it. Just enough to add a hint of sparkle, perfect for a casual brunch, date night or your holiday office party. I wore it on our last day in Philly with my white jeans and brown leather boots.
As you can see, Chaps sweaters are easily packable for any of your holiday trips, but they are also easily washable. When we returned home, both sweaters went right into the washing machine (cold wash, gentle), and came out of my washer just as good as new. Also, the fit was amazing. I’m usually an “extra-small”, but the “small” fit me perfectly.
