Looking Chic in Neutrals

Living in New York City means that I wear neutrals. And a lot of them. When the warm weather hits, I do lighten up—but I still do pack on the neutrals. It’s easy for a busy mom like me. I know that I can pull out a top, cardi, a pair of pants and some accessories and know that I look good and put together.

The key is to mix up the textures, tones, colors. Don’t be too matchy-matchy so that it looks effortless.

Because I was walking around downtown with the family, a pair of good old gladiators from several seasons ago were brought out of the warm-weather closet.  I almost always wear my IIIbeca Duane Street Messenger bag every week because it looks cool and holds all of my essentials.

And not to be outdone by Mommy, we got a pair of gladiators for O a few weeks ago from Shoofly, a fun shop down in TriBeCa, which has the most extensive shoe selection for kids.
