August 10th was National S’mores Day and what better way to celebrate with some family time making some s’mores at our very own New York City HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE.
Even though we live in the hustling busting city of New York City, we have cookouts on our rooftop using our building’s grills. It’s a perfect way to get outdoor family time and enjoy the summer weather.
While I roasted the marshmallows on the grill, S stayed nearby. We didn’t have any skewers but our BBQ fork did wonders!
Our 9-year old was at my moms for the first night of our HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE, so Miss S was all alone with mommy and daddy. I think she was actually happy that she had us (and the s’mores!) all to herself.
A s’more is one of the easiest, most fun desserts to make. And making it, serving it and eating it makes smiles!
When O came home the next night, we decided to do another HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE. Twice is just as nice!
This is the absolute look of a happy, happy girl.
But, s’mores, as we all know, are always better shared.
To top off our HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE, we played a game of tag and hide-and-seek up on the roof…better to burn off all the sugar and pile on tons more fun before bed-time.
