Wearing Mixed Media and Textures

We’ve finally found a great date night babysitter to replace the one who went off to college in Pennsylvania. Which now means that I get to “dress up” once in a while (Meaning I’m not wearing my jeans and Ugg boots)! We went to a fantastic restaurant near Union Square called Ichabod’s that my girlfriend took me to for my birthday. Of course, I had to make it our next stop on our date night.

I was so tired of wearing sweater after sweater that I was excited to pull out LABEL+thread’s Mixed Media Sheer Trim Scoop Neck made with a super-chic silk blend and chiffon trim at the neck. It’s like a super-cool t-shirt that makes you feel dressed up but you stay comfy at the same time.

I paired it with a pair of Urban Outfitter’s BDG cargo pant, which is just the right weight for wear-now and wear-later.

My favorite jewelry lines I’ve found are local. Case-in-point: Gauge NYC’s Geometric bracelets. They’ve got 7 shapes, and look so delicate, edgy, airy, chic and cool.

A while back, I raided my mom’s closet and took some purses that she had laying around since the 80’s. Are the 80’s vintage? I mean, they are 30 years old…Vintage, yet still so relevant. I especially love this snakeskin clutch mixed with the cargo pants plus the mixed media top. All together, it looks pretty cool, yes?
